Bloom or Bust Guarantee

Turkestanica, often admired for its creamy white with yellow centres colouring, is a bulb variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Tulip ‘Turkestanica’ is a charming little species tulip, prized for its naturally elegant, star-shaped blooms in creamy white with warm golden centres. Flowering early in spring, it lends a light, botanical touch to pots, gravel gardens and the front of the border—particularly where a more natural, meadow-like effect is desired.

Neat, clump-forming and fully hardy, it’s an excellent choice for naturalising in well-drained ground, where it will return each year with quiet reliability.

Why you’ll love it

  • Starry, cream-white flowers with golden centres
  • Ideal for pots, rockeries and natural-style planting
  • Early spring colour with a refined, wild-tulip character
  • Pollinator friendly

Where to Plant:

Tulip 'Turkestanica' needs full-sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 8-10 cm apart apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
