Yellow, often admired for its yellow colouring, is a corm variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Ranunculus 'Yellow' brings a polished note of sunshine to spring and early summer planting schemes. Each bloom is neatly packed with many petals, creating a rich, double form that looks particularly smart in pots by the door, and is equally at home in the cutting garden for fresh, cheerful stems.

Supplied as quality 5/6 corms, this variety forms an upright, clump-forming plant with mid-green foliage and a graceful presence from 40–60cm. Plant in a sheltered position in moist but well-drained soil, and you’ll be rewarded with weeks of colour from May to August.

Where to Plant:

Ranunculus 'Yellow' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant corm from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 15–20cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting corm according to local conditions.
