Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Aviv Picotee Orange, often admired for its orange with picotee edging colouring, is a corm variety especially well suited to cutting.

Ranunculus asiaticus ‘Aviv Picotee Orange’ is a decidedly elegant ranunculus, with neatly double blooms in glowing orange tones, each petal finished with a refined picotee edge. Compact and clump-forming, it brings a poised, jewel-like richness to spring pots and front-of-border planting, and it is equally at home in a cutting patch for small, luxurious bunches.

As a Half Hardy choice, it appreciates a sheltered position and moist but well-drained soil—perfect for those who enjoy a little extra finesse in their spring displays.

Where to Plant:

Ranunculus 'Aviv Picotee Orange' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant corm from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10-15cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting corm according to local conditions.
