Planting plan

One drift of summer colour.

Plant in sun or light shade in soil that does not dry out in summer. Set each colour in a group, about 45cm apart, so it reads as a clump. Bee balm flowers from mid to late summer; flowering times vary with weather and location.

Before you plant

Plant bare roots as soon as you can after they arrive, in a sunny spot, and water them in. They are perennials: growth dies back in winter and returns each year. Exact flowering times depend on the season and site.
