Mangave 'Praying Hands'
A truly unique and architectural succulent, 'Praying Hands' is a standout variety of Mangave (a hybrid between Manfreda and Agave). It forms a remarkable, tight, upright rosette of long, slender, concave leaves that curve inwards and upwards, creating a shape that strongly resembles a pair of praying hands. This form is completely different from the open rosettes of most other succulents. The leaves themselves are a beautiful deep olive-green, covered in a waxy coating that gives them a silvery-blue sheen, and are speckled with subtle, darker spots. The very tips of the leaves are tipped with a sharp, cinnamon-coloured spine. This is a stunning statement plant, perfect as a centrepiece in a container or a gravel garden. While it can tolerate very light frosts, it is best protected from winter wet and severe cold.
