Tulip 'Peppermint Stick'
A delightful and eye-catching cultivar of Tulipa clusiana, 'Peppermint Stick' is a variation of the classic "Lady Tulip". It shares the same wonderfully elegant and slender form, with tall, graceful stems that sway in the breeze. The buds are slim and pointed, opening in the sunshine to reveal beautiful star-shaped flowers. The petals have a striking and distinct colour pattern that gives the plant its name: the outer three petals are a clear, candy-cane cherry-red, while the inner three petals are pure, crisp white. This creates a fantastic, pinwheel-like effect when the flower is open. The heart of the flower has a small, dark purple base. 'Peppermint Stick' is a fantastic perennialiser, quickly forming enchanting drifts of colour and bringing a sense of fun and classic charm to the garden.
