A truly beautiful and romantic Split-Corona daffodil, 'Love Call' is a flower of exceptional charm and strong colour. The blooms feature a perianth of broad, overlapping, pure white petals that are perfectly formed. These provide a crisp and clean frame for the showstopping corona. The cup is large, split into six segments, and lies almost flat against the petals, creating a star-like shape. The segments are gently ruffled at the edges and are a vibrant, glowing shade of deep salmon-to-orange-pink. This direct and powerful colour contrast is both elegant and exciting. Blooming in mid-spring on strong stems, 'Love Call' is a reliable and beautiful choice for adding a splash of warm, passionate colour to the garden.
The vibrant, warm pink of 'Love Call's' corona against the pure white petals creates a high-contrast look that is instantly eye-catching, making it a "call" for attention and admiration in the spring border.

Where to Plant:
This is a flamboyant and showy split-corona daffodil, sometimes known as a butterfly daffodil. It produces large flowers with pure white petals and a spectacular, heavily frilled and ruffled central cup that is split open and splashed with shades of yellow and orange. It is a real statement flower and is best planted in borders or large containers where its intricate form can be admired up close. It grows well in sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil. A little shelter from strong wind is beneficial.
How to Plant:
You should plant the large bulbs in the autumn. Dig a hole to a depth that is about twice the height of the bulb, usually around 15cm (6 inches), and place the bulb inside with the pointed tip facing up. To accommodate the large, showy flowers, space the bulbs about 15cm apart to give each one room to shine. Water once after planting to settle the soil around the bulbs.
Aftercare:
After the magnificent flowers have faded, it is good practice to deadhead them by snipping off the flower head before it can form a seed pod. The most important rule is to let the foliage die back naturally for a minimum of six weeks. Do not be tempted to cut it back or tie it into knots. This is an essential period where the bulb stores energy, ensuring it has the strength to produce its beautiful, complex flowers again the following spring.
We partner with elite growers to provide only top-size, professional-grade bulbs. Bigger bulbs mean stronger roots and more spectacular blooms.

I ordered the mixed hyacinth collection and the scent in my garden this April was absolutely heavenly. Every single bulb produced a strong, beautiful flower and the colours were stunning together. A fantastic purchase, I'll be back for more next year!
