Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Ranunculus blooms are favourites with florists because the petals open slowly and the stems last well in a vase, making them ideal for cutting gardens and spring arrangements.

These true Italian Elegance® Ranunculus line expressed in the rich variety of colours that harmonize in pastel ranges with soft and delicate contrasts, a medium-early flowering, even larger flowers, lush and robust foliage and stems. Practically adapted to many different climatic conditions and cultivation techniques, the flower appears in bloom after about 8 weeks for temperate climates and up to 16 weeks for colder climates. Already after three months one can enjoy a flowering production of up to 4 flowers per plant, reaching 12 flowers at 6 months. The flowers of this buttercup like to bloom with maximum light intensity and open in the early evening hours. It is advisable to cut the flower in the early morning hours.

For the following varieties* you agree that you will not: Recover and re-use bulbs after the first planting for any new or further plantings, accepting that any further plantings or propagations are unauthorized. Where to Plant:

Ranunculus 'Orange' grows best in full sun and free-draining soil. In wetter gardens, pots or raised beds help keep the tubers from sitting in winter wet.

How to Plant:

Soak the ‘claws’ for 1–3 hours, then plant 5–8cm deep with the ‘fingers’ pointing down. Space 10–15cm apart in well-drained soil, or start in pots under cover and plant out after frosts.

Aftercare:

Keep soil lightly moist during growth and feed fortnightly once buds appear. Pick stems regularly to encourage more flowers. After flowering, allow foliage to die back so tubers can recharge; lift in very wet or cold areas.
