Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

This variety is a social butterfly! It loves to self-seed and will gradually spread out over the years, creating larger and more beautiful drifts of rosy pink.

A vision of soft, romantic colour, 'Rosy Beauty' produces generous, 4-inch umbels of delicate, star-shaped, rosy-pink flowers. The flower heads are not tight globes but have a more open, airy structure, giving them a wonderfully relaxed and natural feel. This variety is perfect for creating a soft mist of colour through a perennial border or for naturalising in a sunny meadow garden. It's a gentle and charming plant that blooms profusely and its pretty, star-like flowers are a favourite of bees and other pollinators. It brings a touch of wild grace and effortless charm wherever it’s planted, looking especially lovely with silver-leaved plants.

Where to Plant:

This charming allium produces loose umbels of delicate pink, star-shaped flowers. It thrives in a position that enjoys full sun but will also tolerate a little light, dappled shade. Good drainage is key, so it is well-suited to rockeries, gravel gardens, or the front of a sunny border where it will not be overshadowed by larger plants. 'Rosy Beauty' is also an excellent choice for naturalising in grass or under deciduous trees, and it performs very well in containers.

How to Plant:

Plant the small bulbs in the autumn. Position them with the pointed tip facing up, at a depth of about 8-10cm. For the most effective and natural-looking display, plant them in generous drifts rather than individually. Space the bulbs around 8-10cm apart to allow them to form substantial clumps over time. A single watering after planting is all that is needed to help settle the soil and get them started.

Aftercare:

'Rosy Beauty' is incredibly easy to look after. It will not require any additional watering once it has settled in. After flowering has finished, allow the grassy foliage to die back completely. This is the most important step in ensuring a repeat performance the following year as it allows the bulb to replenish its energy stores. It will happily spread and multiply over the years, so there is no need to deadhead unless you wish to prevent self-seeding.
