Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

This variety is sometimes called the 'Three-Coloured Grape Hyacinth' because each individual bloom packs a trio of beautiful blues and white, a rare trait in Muscari.

A truly stunning tricolour masterpiece, Muscari armeniacum 'Nature's Beauty' showcases a breathtakingly beautiful gradient of colour within every single flower spike, creating a sophisticated, multi-toned effect from just one bulb. Each bloom begins with a rich, deep cobalt blue at its base, which seamlessly transitions into a paler, sky-blue shade in the middle, and finally culminates in a fluffy, pure white cap. This remarkable medley of shades gives the impression of a meticulously curated designer mix, providing incredible depth and visual interest. It is a robust and fragrant variety that is perfect for creating a dramatic and elegant statement in borders, containers, or window boxes. The complex colouring pairs exquisitely with both pure white daffodils and deep purple tulips, allowing it to bridge different colour palettes with ease. Its strong stems and long-lasting nature also make it a superb cut flower for delicate spring arrangements, bringing its unique beauty indoors. It is a real showstopper.

Where to Plant:

A particularly beautiful and floriferous variety, 'Nature's Beauty' produces multiple flower stems from each bulb, with cones of flowers that are an attractive mix of light, mid, and dark blue. It is very versatile and will grow happily in most garden situations, from full sun to partial shade, in any soil that has reasonable drainage. It looks wonderful planted in large drifts at the front of borders, naturalised under trees, or packed into pots for a rich, multi-toned spring display.

How to Plant:

For a reliable display next spring, plant the small bulbs during the autumn months. Plant each bulb at a depth of around 10cm (4 inches), with the pointed end facing towards the sky. They have the greatest visual impact when they are planted in large, generous groups. Space the bulbs about 5-8cm apart from each other to create a dense carpet of colour.

Aftercare:

Grape Hyacinths are very easy to look after and will reward you with a bigger display each year. Do not be concerned when the green leaves appear in autumn, as this is normal for the plant. Once the flowers have faded in spring, let the foliage die back completely by itself. This is essential for the bulb's health. They will spread to form larger colonies; deadhead the spent flowers if you wish to control this.
