Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

It was named in memory of Samuel Arnott, a notable gardener from Dumfries, Scotland. It has won the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its reliability and beauty.

Welcome the arrival of spring with the celebrated Snowdrop 'S. Arnott', a true gem for any UK garden. This variety stands out with its large, beautifully formed, globular flowers that hang like pristine white lanterns. It’s not just a feast for the eyes; lean in close to enjoy its delightful honey scent. 'S. Arnott' is a vigorous and robust grower, quickly forming impressive clumps. A proud recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it's perfect for naturalising in lawns, brightening up shady borders under trees, or creating elegant pot displays. Pair with winter aconites and early crocus for a stunning late-winter tapestry of colour.

Where to Plant:

Galanthus 'S. Arnott' thrives in moisture-retentive, humus-rich soil in partial shade. They are perfect for naturalising in lawns, creating drifts under deciduous trees, or brightening up rockeries and container displays. Avoid soil that completely dries out in summer.

How to Plant:

Plant bulbs 8-10cm deep and about 8-10cm apart in autumn. Plant in generous drifts for the most natural and impactful display. If your soil is heavy clay, incorporate some grit into the planting hole to improve drainage.

Aftercare:

Leave the foliage to die back naturally after flowering; this feeds the bulb for next year's show. If clumps become overcrowded after a few years, lift and divide them 'in the green' (just after flowering) to spread their beauty around your garden.
