Where to Plant:

'Woodstock' thrives in full sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Its strong scent makes it ideal for planting in containers near doorways and windows, or at the front of borders where its fragrance can be fully appreciated. They are also excellent for indoor forcing for early winter colour and scent.

How to Plant:

Plant bulbs in autumn, from September to December. Position them 15cm deep and 10-15cm apart with the pointed end facing up. For container planting, place them closer together for a fuller display. Always wear gloves when handling hyacinth bulbs as they can cause skin irritation.

Aftercare:

Water well after planting and during dry spells in spring. After the flowers have faded, deadhead the stalk but allow the foliage to die back naturally; this feeds the bulb for the following year's display. In containers, reduce watering once the leaves yellow. You can lift and store the bulbs or leave them in the ground.
