Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

As dramatic as the musical it's named after, its intensely fragrant, deep violet flowers bring a touch of theatrical passion to the spring garden.

Unleash a wave of regal colour and intoxicating fragrance with Hyacinth 'Miss Saigon'. This sensational variety stands out for its densely packed spires of deep, magenta-purple florets, creating a truly dramatic and luxurious display in early spring. Its powerful, sweet scent is a classic sign that spring has arrived, making it perfect for planting in pots near a doorway, on a patio, or in window boxes. In borders, 'Miss Saigon' combines beautifully with the bright yellows of Narcissus 'Tête-à-Tête' or the cool whites of Anemone blanda for a truly captivating scene. A must-have for lovers of bold colour and rich perfume.

Where to Plant:

Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Hyacinths are perfect for the front of borders, containers, or window boxes where their powerful fragrance can be enjoyed. Avoid waterlogged areas as this can cause the bulbs to rot.

How to Plant:

Plant bulbs 10-15cm deep and about 15cm apart in autumn. For a fuller look in pots, they can be planted closer together. Always wear gloves when handling hyacinth bulbs as they can cause skin irritation. Point the tip of the bulb upwards.

Aftercare:

Water well after planting. Once flowering is over, deadhead the faded blooms but allow the foliage to die back naturally. This feeds the bulb for next year's display. In subsequent years, the flowers may be looser, creating a more relaxed cottage-garden effect.
