A world-famous and incredibly popular variety, 'Ice Follies' is a Large-Cupped daffodil celebrated for its large, elegant flowers and beautiful colour change. The blooms open with broad, overlapping, creamy-white petals surrounding a large, flared, and heavily ruffled trumpet-like cup of bright lemon-yellow. Over a few days, a magical transformation occurs as the cup gracefully fades to a soft, creamy ivory-white, creating a sophisticated, almost pure white flower. This RHS Award-winner is an exceptionally vigorous and reliable performer, producing a spectacular and long-lasting display in early to mid-spring. It is one of the very best varieties for mass plantings and for naturalising, creating a stunning sea of cool colour.
Ice Follies' is so reliable and vigorous that it has become the parent of many other famous daffodils, including the beautiful all-white double variety, 'Obdam'.

Where to Plant:
This is a hugely popular and exceptionally reliable large-cupped daffodil. It produces large, handsome flowers with pure white outer petals and a broad, frilled cup that opens bright lemon-yellow before maturing to a creamy white. It is incredibly versatile and a superb choice for planting in bold drifts in borders, for naturalising in lawns, or for growing in containers. It is very adaptable, thriving in full sun or partial shade in any reasonable, well-drained garden soil.
How to Plant:
The bulbs should be planted in the autumn, anytime from September to November. Dig a hole and plant each bulb at a depth that is roughly twice its own height, which is typically about 15cm (6 inches) deep. Place the bulb in the hole with its pointed tip facing upwards and cover with soil. Space bulbs about 10-15cm apart to give each plant enough room to develop into a healthy clump. Water once after planting.
Aftercare:
A very easy and rewarding daffodil that will reliably multiply over the years. After the flowers have faded, you can snip off the spent bloom to stop the plant from putting energy into making seeds. The most critical rule is to allow the long, grassy foliage to die back completely on its own, for at least six weeks after flowering has finished. Do not cut it back or tie it in knots during this important period of regeneration.
We partner with elite growers to provide only top-size, professional-grade bulbs. Bigger bulbs mean stronger roots and more spectacular blooms.

I ordered the mixed hyacinth collection and the scent in my garden this April was absolutely heavenly. Every single bulb produced a strong, beautiful flower and the colours were stunning together. A fantastic purchase, I'll be back for more next year!
