Botanical Tulips

Tulipa ‘Botanical Tulips Mixed’ is a delightful little assortment of botanical tulips, chosen for their naturally neat proportions and easy charm. Expect a lively blend of spring colour that looks particularly at home at the front of borders, tucked into rock gardens, or planted generously in pots for a refined, relaxed display.

These petite tulips are ideal where you want the look of tulips without towering stems—perfect for naturalistic planting schemes and smaller spaces, with a quietly elegant finish.

Tulipa 'Fosteriana Mix' brings a composed, early-spring flourish to beds, borders and containers. Chosen for bold colour in a curated blend, this Fosteriana selection stands well on strong stems and settles naturally into generous drifts—equally at home in a formal scheme or a more relaxed planting.

Plant in autumn and look forward to a confident show from March to May. The cup-shaped blooms are also a fine choice for cutting, lending fresh, clean lines to spring arrangements.

Tulipa ‘Acuminata’ is a wonderfully characterful tulip, prized for its long, finely pointed petals and painterly spring colouring. Each bloom combines warm yellow and red tones, often finished with a subtle green tinge, creating an elegant, slightly untamed look that suits both pots by the door and well-drained borders.

With an upright habit and grey-green foliage, it brings height and movement without fuss. Plant in autumn, allow it a sheltered position, and look forward to its distinctive, species-style presence from March to April.

• Distinctive shape: slender, pointed petals with a refined, flame-like silhouette
• Colour: yellow and red, often lightly tinged green
• Versatile planting: particularly handsome in spring containers and neat drifts through borders

Tulip ‘Sylvestris’ (Tulipa sylvestris), the woodland tulip, is a graceful, lightly scented species tulip with nodding golden buds that open into refined, star-shaped flowers. It sits beautifully in borders and gravel gardens, and is particularly well-suited to naturalising—threading through grass or beneath deciduous trees with an easy, informal charm.

Compact and clump-forming, it brings a gentle lift in April and May, returning year after year when planted in well-drained ground. A fine choice for pots, too, where the elegant stems and bright, clear colour can be enjoyed up close.
