Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

This variety is sterile and cannot produce seeds. Every single plant in existence is a direct clone of the original, spreading only by bulb division for over 300 years.

Ring in the new year with the delightful Double Snowdrop 'Flore Pleno', a cherished heirloom that brings intricate beauty to the late winter garden. Each nodding head unfurls to reveal a packed cluster of pure white, petal-like segments, creating a frilly, petticoat effect marked with delicate green at the centre. This RHS Award of Garden Merit winner is incredibly tough and reliable, quickly forming dense, spreading clumps. Perfect for naturalising in lawns, underplanting deciduous trees, or creating charming pot displays. For a classic winter scene, partner them with the cheerful yellow of Winter Aconites or early flowering Crocus.

Where to Plant:

Find a spot in partial shade, such as beneath deciduous trees or shrubs, where they will be shaded in summer but receive sun in winter. They thrive in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and are perfect for borders, rockeries, woodland gardens, or naturalising in grass.

How to Plant:

Plant dry bulbs 10cm deep and 5-8cm apart in autumn, from September to November. For a natural look, gently scatter the bulbs and plant them where they land. Soaking the dry bulbs in water for a few hours before planting can aid establishment.

Aftercare:

Snowdrops are low-maintenance. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally to feed the bulb for next year's display. Every few years, you can lift and divide established clumps 'in the green' (just after flowering) to propagate and spread them further.
