Refund policy
Our Bloom Guarantee & Refund Policy
At Harding & Bloom, we want you to be delighted with your purchase. This policy explains your statutory cancellation and consumer rights as well as our additional Bloom or Bust Guarantee.
Change-of-mind cancellation
If you buy online, you may cancel an eligible purchase without giving a reason by telling us within 14 days after the day you, or a person you nominate, receive the goods. If goods from one order are delivered on different days, the 14-day period runs from the day the last eligible item is received.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must send the eligible goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day you notified us. Please contact us before returning anything so that we can confirm the correct return address and instructions.
You may handle goods only as much as you reasonably could in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. We may reduce a refund where the value of returned goods has been reduced by handling beyond that level, as permitted by law.
Unless we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning change-of-mind goods. Where a cancellation refund is due, we will also refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not have to refund any additional cost of an upgraded, express or premium delivery option.
We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods or, if earlier, 14 days after you provide evidence that you sent them back. We will use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.
Perishable-goods exception
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. We will apply this exception only where it is legally valid for the specific goods and circumstances. We will not use a blanket “no refunds on perishable goods” rule.
This exception affects change-of-mind cancellation only. It does not remove your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, unhealthy when supplied, incorrectly supplied, misdescribed, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
Faulty, damaged, unhealthy, incorrect or misdescribed goods
Your statutory rights are not affected. If goods arrive faulty, damaged, unhealthy when supplied, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed, contact us promptly with your order details and, where reasonably possible, photographs. Depending on the circumstances and the law, remedies may include a refund, repair or replacement. Our Bloom or Bust Guarantee is an additional goodwill promise and does not replace or restrict these statutory remedies.
The Bloom or Bust Guarantee
Seeds, bulbs, corms, tubers, bare roots and plants are living products. We inspect living products before dispatch and our obligation is to supply products that are healthy or viable, as applicable, of satisfactory quality and as described when supplied. Natural variation and growing conditions mean that we cannot guarantee that every individual item will germinate, establish, grow or flower.
Unsuccessful germination, establishment, growth or flowering does not, by itself, show that an item was faulty when supplied and does not automatically entitle the customer to a cash refund.
Our Bloom or Bust Guarantee is a voluntary goodwill guarantee for the first growing season. If an item supplied in a healthy or viable condition fails to perform despite the supplied planting and care instructions being followed, we will provide, at our choice, either store credit equal to the price paid for the affected item or a replacement where suitable stock is available. These are the remedies available under the voluntary Guarantee. We do not provide a cash refund under the Guarantee for unsuccessful growing or flowering where the item was healthy, of satisfactory quality and as described when supplied.
The Guarantee does not cover failure caused by unsuitable or prolonged storage, incorrect or late planting, unsuitable soil or drainage, failure to follow care instructions, overwatering, underwatering, waterlogging, frost or extreme weather, pests, wildlife, disease, accidental damage after delivery or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
