Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Super Parrot, often admired for its white petals with green flush/striping colouring, is a bulb variety especially well suited to beds & borders.

Tulipa ‘Super Parrot’ is a gloriously theatrical tulip, with ruffled, feathered petals that open out into a generous, sculptural bloom. In borders it lends a painterly flourish amongst spring greens; in pots it reads as an elegant centrepiece with very little fuss.

Its creamy-white petals, kissed with a fresh green flush, are particularly handsome in refined schemes—think white narcissi, forget-me-nots and the first airy grasses. It also makes a superb cut flower, each stem bringing a touch of couture to a simple vase.

  • Feathered, parrot-style tulip with a distinctly ruffled finish
  • Beautiful for spring containers and the front-to-middle of borders
  • Excellent for cutting once buds show colour

Where to Plant:

Tulipa 'Super Parrot' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10–15cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
