Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Levante Wine Double, often admired for its deep magenta-purple with white highlights and a near-black center colouring, is a corm variety especially well suited to pots &

Anemone coronaria 'Levante Wine Double' is a wonderfully refined spring-flowering anemone, with fully double blooms in rich wine tones—deep magenta-purple lifted with pale highlights and finished with a near-black centre. Held on neat, upright stems, it brings early-season polish to pots, borders and the cutting garden alike.

Plant the corms in autumn for a poised display from March to May, and let the clump-forming habit weave gently through spring planting schemes. Particularly handsome in containers by the door, where the velvety colour can be appreciated up close.

Where to Plant:

Anemone 'Levante Wine Double' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant corm from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10–15cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting corm according to local conditions.
