Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Minnow, often admired for its creamy white with pale yellow cup colouring, is a bulb variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Narcissus 'Minnow' is a delightfully refined dwarf daffodil, prized for its gentle colouring and generous flowering habit. Each stem carries several petite blooms: creamy-white petals framing a neat, pale-yellow cup which softens beautifully as the flowers mature. Perfect where details are best enjoyed up close—on the patio in pots, along a path edge, or threaded through grass for a natural, understated spring display.

  • Colour & form: creamy white with a pale-yellow cup; elegant cup shaped flowers
  • Excellent in containers: compact at around 20cm, ideal for pots and the front of borders
  • Reliable performer: fully hardy and easy to grow, returning year after year

Plant in autumn, allow the foliage to fade naturally after flowering, and you’ll be rewarded with neat clumps that improve as they settle in.

Where to Plant:

Narcissus 'Minnow' (Daffodil) needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
