Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Multiflora Blue, often admired for its blue, purple colouring, is a bulb variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Hyacinthus 'Multiflora Blue' is a rather refined take on the classic hyacinth: richly coloured, beautifully perfumed, and notably generous in bloom. This multiflowering selection sends up elegant blue spires that feel perfectly at home in smart pots by the door, or tucked into the front of borders where the scent can be properly appreciated.

Plant in autumn and look forward to a polished display in April. With a naturally tidy habit and dependable performance in Full-Sun or Partial Sun, it’s an easy choice for spring containers and mixed bulb plantings alike.

Where to Plant:

Hyacinthus 'Multiflora Blue' (Hyacinth) needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10-15cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
