Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Jeanne d'Arc, often admired for its white with purple at the base colouring, is a corm variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Crocus 'Jeanne d'Arc' is a quietly elegant early-spring crocus, prized for its generously sized, goblet-shaped blooms in crisp white, gently shaded with purple at the base. Each flower is finished with vivid orange, delicately frilled stigmas—an exquisite detail at the very start of the season.

Plant the corms in autumn for a refined display in pots, borders and rockeries, or let them drift naturally through grass for a fresh, meadow-like look. Fully hardy and pleasingly straightforward, it returns year after year, building into neat clumps over time.

Where to Plant:

Crocus 'Jeanne d'Arc' needs full-sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant corm from August to November once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 5-8cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting corm according to local conditions.
