Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

Single Late Mixed, often admired for its colour_swatch.red, colour_swatch.pink, colour_swatch.yellow, colour_swatch.white, colour_swatch.orange, colour_swatch.purple colo

Tulipa ‘Single Late Mixed’ is a thoughtfully composed blend of Single Late tulips, selected for their tall, steady stems and poised goblet-shaped flowers. Blooming at the very end of the tulip season, it extends spring with a softly painterly mix of colours—ideal for bringing a refined finish to borders and generous pots alike.

Plant in autumn and allow the bulbs to settle through winter; in late spring, expect an elegant, upright display at 40–60cm, with fresh mid-green foliage beneath the blooms. As a mixed selection, the precise colour balance may vary from season to season—always harmonious, never uniform.

  • Season finale: flowers from April to May, carrying the tulip display into late spring
  • Graceful proportions: tall stems and goblet blooms, beautifully suited to cutting
  • Versatile planting: excellent in borders, beds, and statement containers

Where to Plant:

Tulipa 'Single Late Mixed' (Tulip) needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10–12cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
