Designed with the cutting garden in mind, Tulipa 'Picking Garden Mix' brings together a considered selection of richly textured tulips that offer a generous run of spring stems for the vase, as well as a handsome display in borders and pots. Expect an elegant mix of forms and tones; as with all blended collections, the precise shades may vary subtly from season to season.

Plant in autumn into moist, well-drained soil, and allow the bulbs to settle through winter. Come April and May, you’ll be rewarded with a fresh, abundant look that feels both curated and delightfully natural.

Where to Plant:

Tulipa 'Picking Garden Mix' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant bulb from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10–12cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting bulb according to local conditions.
