Our "Bloom or Bust" Promise

De Caen Mixed, often admired for its multi-color colouring, is a corm variety especially well suited to pots & containers.

Anemone 'De Caen Mixed' is a beautifully varied blend of single, poppy-like blooms, each neatly finished with a distinctive dark centre. The colours arrive in a charming mix, lending an effortless, painterly effect whether tucked into pots on the terrace, threaded through a gravel garden, or planted in generous drifts at the front of a border.

Compact and clump-forming, Anemone coronaria brings crisp spring colour with a refined, naturalistic air—particularly lovely when planted in groups for a fuller display.

Where to Plant:

Anemone 'De Caen Mixed' needs full-sun, partial sun and a warm, sheltered position for the best flowering. Plant into fertile, humus-rich soil that drains well, and choose a spot protected from strong winds, especially for taller varieties.

How to Plant:

Plant corm from September to December once conditions are suitable. Set them at the correct depth for the variety, spacing 10cm apart where relevant, then firm in gently and water well after planting.

Aftercare:

Water regularly in dry weather and feed every two to three weeks once buds appear. Stake taller stems early and deadhead to keep plants flowering. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally before lifting or protecting corm according to local conditions.
