Bring a splash of pure sunshine to your garden with this delightful and vigorous allium. 'Jeannine' is a superior selection of the classic Golden Garlic, prized for its larger, more numerous flower clusters. It produces cheerful, cup-shaped umbels of brilliant, canary-yellow, star-like flowers that are guaranteed to brighten any corner. This compact plant is perfect for the front of sunny borders, rock gardens, or for naturalizing in drifts under deciduous trees where it will multiply happily year after year. Its bright blooms are not only a visual treat but are also long-lasting and incredibly easy to grow, asking for little more than a sunny spot to put on their dazzling show. A reliable and rewarding choice for adding a long-lasting pop of vibrant yellow.
A single bulb of Allium moly 'Jeannine' will often produce two flower stems instead of just one, making for an extra-prolific and sunny display.

Where to Plant:
Often known as Golden Garlic, this cheerful allium is less fussy than its larger relatives and will thrive in a spot that receives full sun or partial shade. It is an excellent choice for naturalising in light woodland areas, underplanting deciduous shrubs, or for brightening up the front of a border. It prefers a well-drained soil but is tolerant of a wider range of conditions. Its bright, star-like yellow flowers bring a welcome splash of colour in early summer.
How to Plant:
Plant the small bulbs in the autumn, anytime from September to November. Plant them with the pointed tip facing upwards at a depth of about 8-10cm, which is roughly twice the height of the bulb itself. For a natural-looking drift, scatter the bulbs and plant them where they fall, spacing them at least 5-8cm apart. They are most effective when planted in generous groups to create a carpet of sunny yellow flowers. Water them in once after planting.
Aftercare:
This is a wonderfully easy plant to care for. It will not require any supplemental watering once established. After the flowers fade, allow the grassy foliage to die back and turn yellow naturally; this is crucial for the bulbs to store enough energy to return the following year. Allium moly will readily self-seed and spread to form larger clumps over time, so site it where you are happy for it to naturalise. There is no need to deadhead.
We partner with elite growers to provide only top-size, professional-grade bulbs. Bigger bulbs mean stronger roots and more spectacular blooms.

I ordered the mixed hyacinth collection and the scent in my garden this April was absolutely heavenly. Every single bulb produced a strong, beautiful flower and the colours were stunning together. A fantastic purchase, I'll be back for more next year!
